Should I worry about the fact that most  of the fictionnal characters I'm 'in love with' ( wether they are males or females) have mental disorders?
Will I be attracted to them in real life too, even if I know that if they were real most of them would kill me if I tried to hug them?
What does it say about me?

Also, for some reason my sketchbook is full of drawings of her mostly without clothes... let's say that is because I'm practicing anatomy and that her character doesn't wear much anyway, not because I'm a huge pervert..

After  TDK, I rediscovered Batman and TAS like everybody else and remembered that when I watched the show as a kid I really liked Poison Ivy's character.. I still do!!
And like everybody else I tried to redesign Batman Villains to make them fit into Nolanverse, not that I don't like the character as they are in comics or want to change their personalities.. but character re-design and adaptation is just so much fun!!

So I changed her costume into a gown.. we can imagine that she was at an elite party to murder some polluter and then took off because of the bat.. or maybe she was really fond of beautiful dress and Pin-up look from 1930 and her dress suffered from Ivy's communion with 'The Green'..

So yeah, it's the final scene in the second volume in which lisbeth is half-dead on a couch after recieving three bullets (one in the head), having been dropped in a grave and buried alive and then managing to get out of the grave, plant an axe in her father's head and then dropping on the couch of her father's house.. talk about being obstinate! (and what is she, Wolverine?)

I don't know why she tattooed it even though I have a fairly good idea of it signification.
Every single one tattoo on her skin has a meaning:
- the wasp is her hacker name and the surname she got as a sparring partner in the boxing club, being incredibly fast with avoiding shots and throwing punches. It was also one of the rare time she could conect with people, make 'friends' : her sparring partners and the other guys in hacker republic.
- The rose on her leg I don't know. It was only mentioned once I think.
- The cordon on her ankle was made after she was raped y her tutor maybe so she would never forget that she was still vulnerable and to promise herself never to underestimate danger again. Well that's my interpretation anyway.
-Maybe the cordon on her arm was about her time in the asylum, strapped to her bed.. I dunno.

For me, the dragon is about the toughness, the unstoppable strength than awoke in her when she fought her father. The fact that, even after everything that happened to her, things that would have broken everybody else, she refuses to be a victim. She has to fight back, she can't just take the abuse and crawl in a corner, she can't afford to be broken because she knows that nobody will look after her.
A dragon is something that can't be tamed or caged, it's wild it can't be befriended (just like Lisbeth and her difficulty to form relationships, even extremely shallow ones with anyone, everything in her screams "don't touch me!". When you think about it, even her very few 'friends' don't know anything about her. She only told her first tutor about her past, and it was after many years, when she really trusted him. Mikael only knows her past because he investigated, she hasn't even told Mimi (her occasional girlfriend) where she works).
Anyway, the dragon (for me) represents her inner strenght (inner self?), a warning that she is way more than what she appears to be, in short : "if you think you can use me or if you try to hurt me think again, ask the others that have tried before, you really don't want to awake the beast"..

When I learned that Still Larsson, this amazing author died after giving the three firsts books to his editor I was desperate, even more so when I learned that he had planned to write seven more books.. Seven more books with Lisbeth Salander!!!
It had the exact same effect on me than the death of Heath Ledger.

My obsession about her comes from the fact that she is so different from every other female character we see everywhere, she is the strongest person ever and will NEVER allow someone to use her and will fight to death instead of giving up or losing her dignity.
Oh yeah, there is also the fact that she is insanely sexy and I wanna have her babies but that's besides the point.

Lets start with introductions (skipping it to post my art seems a bit dry):
I'm Diane, I'm 17 years old and I live in France in the little town of St Malo (by the sea) with my parents and cats.

After the holidays I'm moving to Paris to start an Art school, I'm really enthusiastic about it and afraid at the same time. My main purpose in life is to reach the best level possible in drawing (and after that to continue progressing again) and be able to live from my art (not so sure we can say that in English.. well languages tend to mix up in my head so get used to typos and mistakes). As far as I remember, I was always drawing.. everywhere and in every situation including in class (which didn't went well with some of my teachers..understandably).

Also, I tend to get obsessed with some subjects like books or fandoms and start thinking/talking/drawing about it all the time and trying to make my folks like it.. it can be really tiring for them and I wish I could help it. After a while I move on to another subject.
So right now it's Batman but before that there was Millenium by Stieg Larsson, Interview With the Vampire an the Vampire chronicles from Anne Rice, death note and other mangas, the video games tales of symphonia, Harry Potter... well you got it.
